PLEASE NOTE: Due to emergency request by Brazilian tribes, Vernon Foster , originaly scheduled for this workshop, will be traveling there to aid negotaitions for the forests of the Amazon. We are fortunate that, Steven Blue Horse agreed to lead the workshop instead! Blue Horse is Foster's Lakota brother, a highly regarded elder, musician and traditional music instrument maker.

Create your own Native American hand drum
with Steven Blue Horse, Lakota Indian.
A renown traditional instrument maker, recording artist, a Lakota elder Steven Blue Horse will guide participants through a sacred and enjoyable learning process of making their own genuine deer hide American Indian hand drum. Through ceremony and instruction, story and song, Bluehorse will lead us in how to birth our own drum as an instrument of spirit. Participants will learn about the ways of the Native American and their culture, as well as the significance of the drum in Indian country. We will work with our spirit guides to call in a design for our drum.
There will also be the opportunity to make your own a rattle.
Blue Horse has been making drums and music instruments for over thirty years.
Workshop Cost: $275

Minimum payment for supplies are due now and any workshop fee balances are payable "Due in full", by the morning of registration on the first day of the workshop, Sept 11th, 2010. You will not be able exchange the size of drum you choose for another size later on.
